Standing Rocks Park near Artha Sustainable Living Center Bed and Breakfast

Standing Rocks Park just a few miles from Artha Sustainable Living Center Bed and Breakfast is located approximately seven miles east of the Plover/Stevens Point area. The 524 acre park is open year round for a variety of outdoors activities.

Cross Country Skiing

Cross country ski trail are open on a daily basis throughout the snow season. There ae approximately 15km (10 mi) of trails. About 75% of the trails are rated as intermediate or expert trails because of the many hills and distances. Trails are groomed for both diagonal stride and skate skiing. The ski lodge is open weekdays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on the weekends from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Downhill Skiing

Downhill skiing is available every weekend throughout the snow season and weekdays during the Christmas holiday season except for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Tow ropes operate from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during the scheduled downhill ski season. The lodge and ski shop are open on weekends from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There are two beginner hills, one intermediate hill, and two experts hills at the park. The longest run is approximately 1200 feet and the steepest vertical drop is 125 feet. Hot concessions are sold in the ski lodge.

Mountain Biking

Mountain bike trails are open daily from May 1 to November 16. Trails are closed to bikes starting on November 17 through April. Trails are also closed to bikes anytime excessively wet conditions exist during the bike season. Approximately, 15 km (10 mi) of xc ski trail are open for biking. Beginning in 2003, P.A.S.T.A. (Point Area Single Track Association) has added over 13 miles of single track of various skill levels. There are plenty of climbs, roots, and rocks that wind throughout the wooded park. Mountain bikes must stay on designated trails at all times. All single track is signed and one way only.
